Friends in Kenya are
known for their hospitality and
warm welcome. They invite all
Conference attendees, family and
other visitors to participate in
one of the pre- or
post-Conference tours they have
arranged. The expense of
participating is in addition to
Conference fees and the tour
fees will go directly to the
Local Arrangements Committee
account. This is not an FWCC
World Office sponsored offering.
All the details and arrangements
are being made by the contacts
listed for each tour.
PAYMENT
Full payment will need to be
made with a credit card when you
register and registrations will be
on a ‘first come first served’
basis. The final closing date for
registrations is 29 February 2012,
although registration will close
automatically as soon as a tour
sells out. When
a tour does not reach its minimum
number of bookings the organisers
will contact you to transfer your
booking to another tour of equal or
greater value. All
costs are quoted in US$.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
All tours
are all inclusive of accommodation,
all meals, transport and entrance
fees (if applicable). The tour
organisers will also provide water
and snacks when on long road
journeys. The only pocket money
you’ll need will be for souvenirs,
extra drinks and some tips. All Home
stay expenses will be taken care of
by the LAC so you’ll not be expected
to pay your hosts.
TRAVEL
Most
pre-Conference Tours start on Friday
13th April in the morning.
Post-Conference Tours will leave
from Kabarak University on 25th
April at 11.00 am.
If you
can’t book a flight that arrives
early on Friday you’ll need to
arrive on Thursday 12th April.
Whether you arrive on 12th or 13th
April you will be met at JKIA (Jomo
Kenyatta International Airport) and
taken to a Guesthouse in Nairobi or
you will be taken straight on your
tour. All tours will end at Kabarak
University where you’ll arrive in
the afternoon of Tuesday 17th
April. Please note that the
overnight accommodation on 12th
April is at your own expense.

Accommodation
during the tours will be in Home
stays or Guesthouses depending on
your choice. Please see the
description of each tour for details
of the accommodation offered.
