This was the 6th World Conference since all traditions of the Religious Society of Friends recognized the need to come together at the All Friends Conference, held in London in 1920.
The experience of working together in the First World War and its aftermath led Friends to understand that we can unite in service to mend a broken world despite our theological and cultural differences.
As we gathered from all parts of the family of Friends, we were challenged by these theological and cultural differences, by the variety of ways we worship and even by our approach to daily living. The challenges and difficulties we face can be the seeds that lead to new growth. We came with faith that we could find ways to work together to build God’s Kingdom.
